Hello everyone, I hope you’re having a lovely morning, afternoon, or evening! I’ve decided that this will be my last monthly recap. I will do a recap/update at the end of the year for October, November, and December, but the monthly recaps have been increasingly hard for me to keep up with and feel motivated for. Nonetheless, I look forward to getting back into my Wednesday Whatevers next year, and I hope you enjoy this post!

Adventures
Renaissance Festival
As always, I went to the local renaissance festival, but sadly, schedules were pretty complicated, and I couldn’t go with my family this time. I went with my husband’s family, which was still fun; seeing my older nephew get the Sword of Valor during the joust, introducing everyone to one of my favorite acts (Reidiculous), being gifted a leaf from one of the knights, and just hanging out! The renaissance festival is always one of my highlights, and I love going year-after-year, dressing up, and watching all the various performers! If you’re even slightly interested in fantasy, dressing up, and/or good ol’ turkey legs, I encourage you to try and find a renaissance festival near you!
Vacation
I went on my fourth vacation! My husband’s extended family went to Myrtle Beach, and we all stayed in a big, eight-bedroom house right on the beach-front! I’ve only ever been to the Gulf of Mexico while in Texas, but never on the oceanside of things, and I liked it a lot more than I thought I would! Now, I will make a separate, dedicated post about vacation, but some of the highlights were boogie-boarding, watching the sunrise, being on the beach, and hanging out with family!
Dinner & Games w/ Friends!
We were invited to have dinner with one of my husband’s groomsmen and his wife (and their little girl!) after trying to reschedule a previous hangout. We had some burgers and fries at their house, chatted, baked brownies, and played some games! I even learned of some new games that I want to pass on to my family, such as MonsDRAWsity and Roots. It was such a fun time to catch up, hang out, and enjoying company with friends and fellow Christians!

Quotes
“The sun doesn’t apologize for shining, and neither should you. Stop taking advice from people you don’t admire. Speak to yourself like you’re speaking to someone you love. You can’t measure your journey with someone else’s map. Be kind, be wild, be soft, be bold, be gentle, be strong, be it all. Don’t let small minds convince you your dreams are too big. Take a moment to notice how far you’ve come, not how far you need to go. You don’t have to force what’s meant for you. I will lead with softness, but I am rooted in strength.”
