Hello everyone, I hope you’re having a lovely morning, afternoon, or evening! The past few months have been a little hectic for me, so I’ve fallen behind on monthly recaps, as well as my typical amount of Wednesday Whatevers. BUT, here we are again. Here’s a speed-run recap of my past four months!

Special Happenings
Market Marathon
My older sister, Emma, has a small business and there was a week in August where we had three markets! It was loads of fun despite the business, and I am starting to absolutely adore going to markets (as a vendor and as a customer) Check out my sister’s business here!
21st Birthday Celebration
I turned twenty-one in July (as you can read here), but didn’t celebrate until August because I was busy and traveling for about half of July; I actually spend my 21st birthday in West Virginia on a mission trip… My celebration was hosted at Emma’s house and was a wonderful time! I played bocce for the first time, got to sip out of my dragon goblet that I painted at work, and spent quality time with my dear friends. However, I did try a blackberry moonshine that a friend brought which was absolutely not wonderful 😅
Camping
Every year, my dad takes me and my sisters on a camping trip. Now, Emma hasn’t gone the past two years because of her baby, and my youngest sister has just now started coming along. Due to our messy backpacking trip in 2022, my youngest sister never wants to backpack again, but my younger sister, Briana, wanted to backpack. So, we had two trips this year! I went on both because I didn’t have a preference; I just wanted to get outdoors. My youngest sister, dad, and I went to Cook Forest for some simple tent camping, then checked out the Kinzua Gorge on the way home!
Renaissance Festival
For the past three years, my friends and I have gone to a Renaissance Festival, and it’s one of my favorite event all year! Better yet, my niece came, too, and she had the cutest little dress with fairy wings! We had a good balance of watching shows, chilling, and exploring the vendors. And, of course, we got our typical photobooth pictures, which gets challening as more and more people join us, but it was hilarious nonetheless!
Backpacking
About a month after the tent-camping trip, my dad took me and Briana backpacking in the Quebec Run Wild Area! We were going slower than we thought, so we ended up having to take the shorter route in order to set up camp before nightfall, but it was still loads of fun! On our way home, we stopped by Fort Necessity and the museum, which was an interesting place. You can watch a video I filmed on our trip down below!
Seven Springs Autumnfest
This was the only “fall festival” sort of thing I did this year… I didn’t even get to go to any farms or anything. This festival had live music, vendors, food, and even a pen with goats and sheep you could feed and pet! I bought a pair of earrings, stickers, tallow lotion, and tallow lip balm. I also got some coffee for a mid-day pick-me-up. Toward the end of our time there, we played some Kanjam and ladder ball. Spoiler alert: ladder ball is actually really hard and we were all very bad at it…
Batman Marathon
I have never seen the Christian Bale Batman movies. However, following our streak of movie series marathons, Batman was next on the list! It was a shorter marathon, only about eight hours. As usual, folks brought food and drinks, and my friend, Mandi, and I made a coffee run in record timing before the second movie. However, they had to start it before we got back, so I watched the first scene on YouTube in the car 😂
Light-Up Night
This is another yearly tradition that my family partakes in. In a town nearby, there’s always a parade, vendors, and celebration to light up the Christmas tree. This year, there was also a drone show, which I had never seen before! Before the parade, I got to explore the vendors, and I got some hard apple cider, a pair of convertible mittens, a puzzle, and a candle. I also got some cheesy fries, which was quite the challenge to get down, but I was there with my family, so they were more than happy to help. My youngest sister was in the parade, so we made sure to scream for her, and I ran into a friend of mine that I graduated high school with! It was a wonderful time.

How Can I Pray For You In December?
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:6-7 ESV
