Hello everyone, I hope you’re having a lovely morning, afternoon, or evening! With the cold weather slowly rolling in, I assume many folks will be curling up inside again, and what better way to curl up and relax than with a book! So, for all you part-time bookworms and part-time home improvement fanatics, I’ve compiled a list of 20 reading nooks and crannies to inspire your next project!
psstโฆ or, if you’re like me and don’t even know how to cut a single plank of wood, these can just be tucked away into your “Inspo” folder or album for the future ๐

I love the window seat and hanging chair combo; literally in love with both seating types. Personally, they’re a NEED in my future home.

Reading outside, on a comfy bench, with fairy lights, and a view??? Say less.

This kinda gives “old mystery movie” vibes, and I love it. It’s a great place to truly immerse yourself in Nancy Drew or Agatha Christie.

A deep window is the best way to go, IMO. The aesethetic is giving “beach house.”

Another window seat, but cozier and SURROUNDED by books!

Another window seat that’s also cozy and absolutely surrounded by books

Okay, I think it’s the wood everywhere and the round window, but I am immediately reminded ofย Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. I absolutely love it.

Another outside area, but it’s a little cozier and PERFECT for camping out under the stars as you read!

It’s giving “boho blogger mom’s reading corner in the nursery.” I love it.

Don’t know what to do with that random small room in your house? Throw down some cushions, blankets, and plants, and now it’s a reading nook!

Another small-space-turned-best-space-in-the-house nook.

I’m in love with this. The vines, the lights, the hanging chair, the big ol’ bookshelves. Put another tally on the board; this is actually a need.

This is the opposite of a nookโit’s literally a whole roomโbut isn’t it amazing?? Hear me out: combine this secret-room-behind-a-bookshelf with the last oneโฆ dudeโฆ

This isn’t a nook either, but it IS a cute book area and a lovely little rustic take on a classic bookshelf!

I’ll be honest, this doesn’t look super comfy, BUT the giant window, the slew of bookshelvesโฆ I could potentially vibe with thisโฆ

In love with the idea of “oh, extra closet? READING NOOK.” It’s actually great.

This could be a random corner between two doorways. It fits perfectly.

Yet another closet-nook. Look how cute he is.

This is like a Nook+. It’s got its own stairs and a ton of bookshelves, but still small and cozy. It’s great.

This is more like a corner, I know, but look at it! A Papasan chair, cute lights, plants,ย it even has a cat!
There you go! I hope you found this post entertaining and/or inspiring. Let me know what your favorite space was in the comments below.
