Hello everyone, I hope you’re having a lovely morning/afternoon/evening! In light of my birthday coming up (tomorrow! yay!) I decided to make yet another holiday gift guide! I, being the organized person I am, need to categorize gifts for each holiday. For birthdays, I like to get people gifts that celebrate and highlight who they are. For instance, my older sister Emma loves to paint. She also loves Lord of the Rings and medical stuff. So, I would perhaps buy her a painting of a scene from LotR or buy her canvases and other neat tools (Emma, don’t read this). Anyway, birthdays celebrate this person being given life and, therefore, having the opportunities to develop hobbies, interests, a sense of humor, etc., so why not celebrate it with a gift or two?
P.S. As always, I have a downloadable graphic at the end of the post so you always have the gifts ideas handy!
>> Gift Ideas <<
1 || Video Game

Nearly everyone loves to play the occasional video game and Steam is one of the most popular video game sites. On Steam, you can gift people whole games or simply send them a virtual gift card. Other places you can also find video games are stores like Gamestop and Best Buy.

2 || Movie/TV Show Poster

Movie posters are such a fun way to decorate your bedroom or safe space while also sharing a bit about yourself when viewed by a guest. Not to mention the fact that seeing an awesome poster of my favorite movie every now and then just puts a grand smile on my face.

3 || A Photobook

I love capturing memories in the form of a picture. What better way to show your gratitude for those fun memories with the birthday person than in a photobook? Even better, in most common photobooks, you can also add captions, stickers, and all sorts of other fun ways to customize the gift!

4 || ANYTHING monogrammed

I have a pretty rare name; I’ve never been able to find it on ANY of those cute souvenir keychains. However, it’s easy to find a simple letter on anything, from pillows to wall decor to even a toilet seat (that’s probably out there somewhere). A monogrammed gift is one of the most perfect, personalized gifts for anyone!

5 || A Stuffed Animal

Whether you’re giving a stuffy to your younger sibling or neice/nephew or to your older friend who just simply loves animals, little stuffed animals are the perfect gift! I, for one, love having a plush buddy to hug, squeeze, and decorate my room with. Even better, you can help your friend slowly grow a collection of their favorite animal in plush form!

6 || Hobby “Supplies”

Now, this gift has A LOT of grey space. Painting is one of the most common hobbies, so here we;ve got some paintbrushes and a link to buy them, but there are (most likely) HUNDREDS of different hobbies. Amazon, Walmart, even Five Below have tons and tons of “supplies” for various hobbies such as paintbrushes, knitting needles, bakeware, and more! Just think about (or even ask) what your friend/family members likes to do in their free time, and buy a gift accordingly!

7 || Personalized Mug

Everyone drinks. Whether it’s coffee, tea, or just water, everyone needs a good, hefty cup or two to quench their thirst. See, you could give them a cup or mug in their favorite color, but you could also step it up a notch and get them an even more personalized cup such as this! It can have their favorite quote, a silly picture, or simply their favorite flower or animal. It’s a great way of showing your friend or family member that you appreciate who they are.

8 || Funko Pop

Now, who doesn’t love having a mini companion sitting on their desk to keep them company? I’ll give you a hint: probably not many people. Funko Pops sort of exploded with popularity a while ago, and since then, the company has released HUNDREDS of various dolls from HUNDREDS of tv shows, movies, etc.. I got an Elsa Funko Pop a few Christmases ago, and let me tell you: it’s one of my prized possessions. *wink wink*

9 || A LEGO Set

Boy, girl, kid, adult, LEGO sets are such a fun way to tap into your creative side. LEGO has tons of different sets for nearly every fandom out there. Who knows, if you get your friend or family member a LEGO set, you may even be invited to help them build resulting in some wonderful and special time to bond even more.

10 || A Book

Books and stories are one of the oldest forms of entertainment, and they’ve certainly withstood the test of time. Anything from a fiction or a self-help book all the way to a children’s book is bound to spread a smile. And it’s possible that whichever book you give to that special birthday person may become their new favorite read!

Always remember that you know your friend/family member the best. If you’re still struggling to find gift ideas, just think about what makes them the person they are!
