Hello everyone, I hope you’re having a lovely morning/afternoon/evening! Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there! I hope you all had an AMAZING day full of joy and encouragement. This past week went by in a blur, and I’m honestly not sure if most of it even registered in my little brain.
On Sunday, I started the day out wonderfully! I woke up early and made myself some tea as I worked on some blog work. When I got home from church, I watched the last few minutes of my school’s musical performance since I missed it originally. I edited a video for about an hour before getting really tired and decided to watch some Twitch/YouTube instead. I ate some food, woke up a bit more, then edited a bit more. After lots of productivity, I went to bed earlier that day in an attempt to begin fixing my whacked-up sleep schedule.
On Monday, I worked a bit on my WIP at school and, for Mother’s Day, I decorate a bag and cupcake box for my mom. That evening, I finally went to baton practice! I wasn’t able to twirl baton ever since I first messed up my shoulder but was finally cleared to go back. The only problem was that it was picture night, and I didn’t even do anything. At home, during dinner, my youngest sister was bit by one of our guinea pigs, and I had to wrap her profusely bleeding finger. I’m basically a doctor now. After dinner, I read Dumbo to my littlest brother and played a short memory card game before putting the youngest two to bed.
At school on Tuesday, I did some major blog work and LOTS of graduation party planning. My graduation party is coming up in about a month, and I feel super prepared, but also not very prepared at the same time. It’s a really awesome feeling, and I hate it. While at school, I also online browsed for a new phone and found out that I can get a better, bigger tablet for just $50 by trading in my current tablet. It had me very excited, but I’ve put myself on a spending freeze for anything other than grad party ・゚:*stuff*:・゚ also, I’m still recovering from all my time without a paycheck during my surgery recovery/musical tech week. When I got home that day, I drew for a bit, did some more grad party planning, and watched YouTube. Halfway through a video, I remembered that I wanted to try some guitar and realized that I sort of want to learn how to play the guitar. It’s a lot harder than it looks. By a lot harder, I mean I can barely do a simple chord. While my older sister, Emma, tuned the guitar, I decided to make some banana muffins. Well, they were mini banana muffins, and I was OBSESSED with how they turned out. They’re so cute and little! I found the recipe from Sally’s Baking Addiction if any of you want to give them a try.
On Wednesday, I joined Crazy Writing Week! Crazy Writing Week is a week-long writing camp online where young writers can gather and see how many words they can write in just a week. Fun fact: it was my second time joining CWW! While still at school, I redid the cover concepts for my book series, and I am so excited for them! They look amazing, not to pat me on the back or anything. I finished my current WIP (the second book in my book series) and am now beginning my next project: the third book in my series! I am super excited about it and even had to stop myself from shrieking with giddiness or delight. When I got home, I tried playing some guitar again, keyword: tried. I’m not very good at it. I don’t know if I ever will be. Oh well. I went to my church’s youth group for the first time in a while, and I had a lot of fun! I played a new game called Phase 10 (pretty confusing, not gonna lie), and I even spoke to (and played Pictionary) with a friend I hadn’t seen in a while. When I got home, I finished the show, Shadow and Bone, with my sisters. It’s a really interesting and quite funny show; I definitely recommend watching it!
On Thursday, I worked on my newest WIP throughout the day at school. During math class, I took a Disney character quiz and found out I was Aladdin. What the heck?? I was able to finish the design for my graduation party cards and confirmed the date with my mother, as well. It’s coming together! I had an early dismissal from school that day for my physical therapy appointment, where I learned a couple new exercises. I only have a few more meetings, and that makes me so excited! Therapy is tiring… Right before I had to get ready for work that day, the camera that I ordered arrived. Perfect timing. I was a little late getting ready because I was fiddling with the camera and getting it set up. Work was pretty boring, but I brought home the new seasonal salad and tried it. It was super tangy and almost spicy; I was not a fan. I ended up messing around with my new camera a bit more and took some silly pictures of my sisters.
On Friday, we had a half-day since it was supposed to be our Mother’s Day celebration, but we got rained out. I just had study halls before we left early with our moms, but right before my family left, the spring musical cast sang and recorded a song for a special conference. When all my siblings and I arrived home, we sat in the kitchen and watched my mom open all her various gifts. Almost all of us made paper gift bags and decorated them for her, and all of us decorated little cupcake boxes as well. It was really funny to see all of my siblings’ creations and tease each other about varying art skills and inside jokes. I tested out my camera a bit more once the chaos was over, and I finally started to get the hang of it! I even filmed a new video for my YouTube channel! (that should be coming up Monday or Tuesday…) At work that night, I was making milkshakes a majority of the time, and I LOVED it! Shakes is my favorite position, and I was really vibing well there. However, I didn’t get my employee meal at the end of the night, which was sad but… oh, well.
Saturday was really bland; I’m just gonna say that right now. I slept in, had a little birthday photoshoot for my littlest sister’s ‘Golden Birthday’ then I went to work. I worked beside a new-ish coworker, and she seemed like a really fun person, but, frankly, I don’t know of any other highlights. It was a long, tiring shift.
