Hello everyone, I hope you’re having a lovely morning/afternoon/evening! This week was pretty uneventful, but I got a lot done. A few things happened each day which was really nice, especially because some days can be awfully dull and bland. Anyway, I hope you all had a wonderful past week, as well; here’s how my week went!
On Sunday, I finally went to church for the first time in a while (due to my shoulder). I spoke to a few folks here and there about my shoulder, and it turns out that shoulder injuries/surgeries are quite common! When I got home from church, I did some blog work and began playing Animal Crossing again. I honestly love that game, it makes me really happy, but I often don’t feel motivated to play it and instead waste my day scrolling aimlessly through social media… Anyway, I’m trying to get myself in more of a habit to unwind, play Animal Crossing, and just feel the good vibes. Later that afternoon, I drew for the first time in a while, and that took a few hours, but I was proud of the result! My family and I finished the movie Sonic, and after that, I did some creative work for about two hours before going to bed.
Monday brought school, but it wasn’t too bad! I don’t remember much of the school day except that I planned out/refined a language that I created for my book (ooh, how exciting!) After school, I had musical rehearsal, which brought me A LOT of excitement for the coming musical season. There weren’t many of us, just a few main characters, and we were discussing some costumes and set designs, and that never fails to hype me up about performing. One of the main reasons I love acting so much is the ability to immerse myself in a totally different atmosphere and acting like someone/something else. I love pretending, I suppose.
Tuesday was pretty fun, except for when I banged up my knee on the way to the bus stop. In the morning, I took part in filming a promo video for my school, which was definitely an odd yet enjoyable experience. During my first period that day, my teacher had to fix a WiFi router in the ceiling, and when he was done, he let us, students, sign the ceiling tile by it. I wrote, ‘Callie B was here, 2021. When I’m famous someday, remember this.’ For the rest of that class, my teacher had to fix another router, so we, students, played Hangman. I went up once, and my word was ‘pulchritudinous,’ meaning physically beautiful. The other words were ‘biblioklept’ (a book thief) and ‘recumbentibus’ (a knockdown blow). You learn something new every day. In the afternoon, the seniors did a little photoshoot with our senior class shirts (class of 2021, woohoo!), and we got to be reunited with a classmate we hadn’t seen in-person since the world initially shut-down. I left early that day to go to a follow-up appointment for my shoulder. Good news: I got my stitches removed! Now, I can watch as my scars slowly form into cool-looking battle wounds. I learned that I only need three more weeks wearing this big ol’ brace/sling and three weeks after that of limited movement! Yay! After dinner that night, I began working on an art piece for my mom’s friend, which took me about four hours. I finished at midnight and was EXHAUSTED as I went to bed.
Wednesday was pretty messy… I woke up late that day (probably because I went to bed at midnight, really tired). There was barely any coffee left when I woke up, so I sort of slumped through the day. I had musical rehearsal that day after school and, of course, we were singing and my voice, of course, cracked because I was tired. How lovely. I’m not sure how the rest of that day went, but I was probably just making it through.
On Thursday, I was tired the entire day, too. However, I got a good portion of my new WIP done. Well, by portion, I mean I wrote a chapter. Unfortunately, I didn’t do anything on my to-do list, and I kind of dropped the ball on a duty or two, but I’ll just have to use my upcoming spring break for that, I suppose.
Friday, a.k.a. our last day before spring break, was really chill. However, it was a little lonely because one of my close friends was away for basketball, but I enjoyed my alone time. I wrote a whole chapter of my WIP that day, and it was a long chapter, so hooray! Every class was pretty much a study hall, so yeah, I had plenty of time. I was really hungry by the afternoon when I had musical rehearsal, and I didn’t even do much because they were working on choreography for a scene that my character watches. How eventful. That evening, I felt really tired by around 8:00, and I went to bed early.
I half-woke up pretty early on Saturday because my sister was getting ready for an early shift. I sat in bed drifting in and out of sleep for a few hours, and when I checked my phone, thinking it’d be around noon, it was only 9:00 am. I decided to start that day early. I got a good portion of my to-do list and chilled for most of the morning and early afternoon. Since it was my brother and father’s birthday (and the day before my older brother’s birthday), I baked (and iced) a cake for a mini-family-party that we were having that night. I would like to say that I helped my older sister decorate the cake, but I honestly think I did more candy-eating than decorating. After we ate dinner, then cake/ice cream, I felt tired because of the long day (and because of all my eating earlier), I decided to hit the hay early. Yeah, that didn’t really happen. I don’t even remember what I was doing, but somehow I didn’t end up going to bed until around midnight.

These are some close-ups of the cake that my sister decorated. It was mainly Star Wars themed for my brothers and dad, and we put pictures of my older brother’s Twitch streams as a little creative ‘Easter Egg,’ I suppose.
And that was my week! A few days were pretty long, but honestly, I think I enjoy those days more than dull, short days. They make me feel alive, I suppose. Anyway, I hope you all had lovely weeks as well; feel free to tell me a highlight or two in the comments below! I wish you all delightful weeks ahead, and, as always, keep on inspiring folks and loving yourself!
Live for each second without hesitation.
