Hello everyone, I hope you’re having a lovely morning, afternoon, or evening! If you couldn’t tell, I have been busy and not quite back on my usual routine posting… I hope to get back to my Wednesday Whatevers, but for now, I’m just trying to get these posts back on track! It was a nice February, nonetheless, and I am beyond excited for more warm weather!

Adventures
Sickness & Health
I went through quite the adventure of health issues this month! I managed to get mild food poisoning from old, rancid peanut butter (who knew it could go bad?). I also began some herbal/homeopathic supplements/tinctures from the functional medicine office that my husband works for; I got some lab testing done about a month ago or so and now it’s time to start healing! However, since my body began detoxing and healing, it began bringing up some not-so-fun issues. I caught a cold about a week after the food poisoning and am just getting over another cold as I’m writing this (March 9th). But I know it will be all worth it once my body is healed!
The Super Bowl
My husband’s brother hosted for the Super Bowl, and I certainly ate my fill of chips, guacamole, and veggies! I’m not the biggest sports fanatic—I find football especially hard to follow—but I enjoyed wondering who would win, seeing the commercials, and I really enjoyed the half-time show, despite what other people said! I thought it was a really cool-looking and well put-together performance/set; it was especially cool to see some celebrity cameos and a real-life marriage and proposal!
Valentine’s Day
For Valentine’s Day, I slept in, then woke up to hydrangeas, a blueberry muffin and cold brew from my favorite cafe, and one of my favorite ice creams! My husband made scrambled eggs and hashbrowns for a late brunch, then he surprised me with ice skating. I sort of had a feeling we would go ice skating since I saw he had bought new laces for his skates, but I was excited nonetheless! I struggled more than I thought I would, but only fell three times! In between sessions, we took a little hike around the park, and afterward, we got some barbecue. It was such a lovely day!
A Finished Product
Thankfully, our house was move-in ready when my husband bought it in 2024, but the closets needed a little love. So, over the past few weeks, my father-in-law has been coming over to help us repair the closet in our spare room, so I could use it for my fancy clothes. It’s finally done! It was an empty closet but also the access to the attic, so we had to make a new attic entrance (in the hallway ceiling), board up the one wall and reinforce it, then add a rod. Ideally, I would like to have a shelf above the rod, but I can always do that myself; the others things… not so much. Our next project is my husband’s closet which needs some drywall fixed up as well as real rods (it just as a wire shelf)!
