Hello everyone, I hope you’re having a lovely morning, afternoon, or evening! Life has been feeling so full and kind of rushed recently, hence the awfully late post…
I’m not sure how, but I hope to slow things down a bit more and get on top of things in the coming month or so. But, for now, here’s my February 2025!

Adventures
1st Birthday Party
My niece turned a year old in January, but, due to busy schedules, we hosted her party this past month! There were about fifty to sixty people there, and I video-taped a lot of it. She wasn’t too into the smash cake (there wasn’t much “smashing” involved), but she was actually opening some gifts, and I’m sure she loved all the attention and love!
Classes
My boyfriend and I began to take part in a few various classes, seminars, etc. We went to a talk about fermented foods at a library which was insightful. We also began to regularly do ballroom dancing! That has been something I’ve wanted to do for a while now, and I’m so happy to not only finally do it, but with someone I love! We take part in the ballroom dancing club at a local college, and it’s about every week!
Valentine’s Day
For Valentine’s Day, we decided to go to an area (on the outskirts) of the city and grabbed some pizza. BUT it was sourdough! I’m gluten-intolerant, so I have to avoid gluten, but if it’s fermented (sourdough), it doesn’t mess me up. This place was really cool and cosy, but also had delicious sourdough pizza and pepperoni rolls; I certainly plan to go again. After we ate, my boyfriend had a hockey game, so we drove to the rink and I got watch one of his games for the first time! He gave me flowers (that he dried!), but I hadn’t finished my little gift, so it ended up being almost a month late…
Wedding Shower
A childhood friend of mine is engaged! They’re planning on getting married later this year, but are having a smaller more intimate wedding, so they had a big ol’ wedding shower. It was at their church, but Briana, my boyfriend, and I had to stop and get a gift beforehand… We joined up with my older sister, Emma, and her family, as well as my parents and other siblings once we arrived. It was so wonderful to chat with my dear friend and to catch up with her!
Surprise Party
My Mama’s birthday is Christmas Eve, so it’s been overlooked for so many years. Not to mention, since she’s a mom, it gets overlooked even more. However, a few months ago, one of my friends had the idea to throw her a surprise party! We had to reschedule it once or twice due to crazy holiday busyness, but it finally happened! I took her to my workplace where we painted some pottery, while everyone else arrived at our house with food and to set up. There ended up being around twenty people to celebrate my Mama, and we had a time for some cards and gifts as well! Briana even made a cake, and we all got to sing to her; it was such a lovely evening!

“Sometimes I think life is really truly horrible but then I remember how many more autumns I will get to experience in my lifetime and how many good books I will read and how many comfy sweaters I will wear and how many great meals will eat and how many times I will sit at my friends kitchen table at midnight and talk about nothing that really matters.” – abernathyvalois on Tumblr
