A New Year, A New Milestone, & A First Birthday // January 2025

,

Hello everyone, I hope you’re having a lovely morning, afternoon, or evening! I ran a little behind with things this past month after the holidays, so this recap is a little late… but this month held some special adventures, so I wanted to highlight them!

Adventures

Ethnic Foods

My friends and I went out to many ethnic restaurants about a year ago or so, but stopped around mid-2023, I believe. However, we’ve been picking that tradition up again in the recent weeks! This month, we went to a Turkish restaurant (that one of my friends knew the owner of), then got takeout from an Indian restaurant almost two weeks later. I tend to have limited options since I’m gluten-free, but I had a delightful salad at the Turkish place, then vegetable fritters which ended up being rather spicy, so it was more like ranch with a side of fried veggies.

1 Year Anniversary

I work at a cafe/paint-your-own-pottery studio and recently hit my one-year anniversary! I ultimately hope to be an author and speaker, but I’ve found it hard to think of leaving this place when those dreams do come true. I love my co-workers, the atmosphere, the customers, and getting to spend each day surrounded by coffee and art. This job has truly been a Godsend!

A Special Birthday

My niece is already a year old! She has been growing into the cutest little girl, and I love how excited she gets when she sees me. She’s already grown so tall and has quite the head of hair. She’s awfully fast at crawling and is starting to take her first steps, too! I can’t wait to watch her continue to grow ☺🤎

Bridal Showering

A dear friend of mine is getting in March! I’m a bridesmaid in her wedding, and we held her bridal shower near the end of this month. I arrived an hour early with my older sister, Emma, to help set-up, which, by itself, was already loads of fun! It’s a wonderful group of bridesmaids, and I’m so happy to celebrate my friend beside them!
