Hello everyone, I hope you’re having a lovely morning, afternoon, or evening! Fall is my favorite season. I love pretty much everything about it. The colors, the holidays, the weather, the scenery, everything. I’m also a big habit & hobby person; trying to get better at practicing them and taking care of myself, mind, body, & soul. Here are some of my habits that help me to relish in this season of coziness and slowing down.

Puzzles
This could be with any season, but I love Fall landscapes and colors, so puzzles especially resonate with me this season. My favorite puzzles are Ceaco’s Thomas Kinkade collection; his works are beautiful! In fact, I’m currently working on a puzzle from that collection. I find puzzles so mellow and cosy, so they fit right in with the attitude which with I like to experience Fall.
Walking
I’ve gone on quite a few walks during the Summer and leading into Fall, so I honestly love them for every season (except Winter…). But in the Fall, I think it’s wonderful to walk with crunchy leaves at your feet, colorful trees, and—for my girls who sweat sweat—it’s not too hot! Especially when there’s a cool breeze and some solid 60℉ weather, it’s perfection!
Watching Sports
I know this is probably not on many Pinterest-y Fall bucket lists, but it’s on mine. And this is my blog. So, y’know. I’ve been enjoying more and more sports, specifically football, Formula One racing, and a bit of hockey. I also just love love love the vibe of going to a sports game. Like, everyone is there with a bunch of team spirit, you get cute little concession stand snacks, you bundle up all cute, and get to watch a fun little game!
Lighting Candles
I love candles! I. Love. Candles! And Fall-scented candles are the literal epitome of joy in the air. In general, I go for “warm” and “cosy” scents like vanilla and caramel and such, so all those cute little “pumpkin spice” or “chai latte” kind of seasonal candles really speak my language. Fun fact: my older sister, Emma, has a business where she sells candles! And, they’re not just seasonal, but also some movie/show-themed candles, like The Lord of the Rings or even the classic Barbie movies! You can check them out here!
Drinking Coffee or Chai Lattes
Whether you liked iced or hot drinks, these fit in with Fall. I’m more of a cold brew gal, and I like to add caramel, chocolate, or pumpkin into my drinks year-round! Also, chai lattes are wonderful with each of those syrups. Both of these drink options give such cosy vibes and have the perfect taste to match the crisp, Fall air.
Backpacking / Camping
I’ve grown up backpacking/camping in the Fall, but besides that, I think Fall is just a great season to do any outdoor activities in! Not only is it beautiful, but the weather is so nice! I sweat easily, so I prefer to camp while it’s colder rather than hotter, and it’s also easier to bundle up rather than try to dress as less as possible, y’know? However, please please please be careful to pack warm, suitable clothing and layer properly!

Attending Festivals
I only attended twp real Fall festivals this year, but I hope to do more next year! They’re essential for getting into that seasonal spirit. Not to mention, at Fall festivals, you can usually get pumpkins to carve, apple cider, and all sorts of other Fall faves!
Dressing Up
I think mostly everyone can agree that Fall fashion is hard to top. There’s something about sweaters, hats, boots, and the color palette that just work so well together. I like to wear earthy-toned clothing, so I tend to opt for more autumnal styles anyway; maybe I’m just biased! But I think that nearly everyone—especially those who go to pumpkin patches and such—love to pick out a cute, Fall-ish outfit!
Spending Time With Friends & Family
Autumn is a season of starting to slow down and get cosier, in my opinion. It’s the perfect time to watch more movies, bake together, and numerous other activities! And, if you prefer to spend more time out of the house, there are plenty of Fall activities (some mentioned above), for which you can rally a group of friends and/or family! There are so many wonderful ways to spend more time with folks you love this season.
Napping
Especially since I’ve been working a lot more, I’ve grown a fondness for naps. After a particularly tiring day, during a rainstorm, or even just because! You can even “jazz up” your naps if you want by using a cosy Autumnal blanket, putting on a movie or gentle music in the background, and/or using an aroma diffuser with some seasonal scents! (a much safer alternative to lighting a candle while sleeping)

What are some of your favorite Fall habits? What is something you enjoy doing year-round no matter the season? If you have any other thoughts, feel free to drop them in the comments below! I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day or night. Keep on loving others and seeking the Lord!
