Hello everyone, I hope you’re having a lovely morning, afternoon, or evening! This month had lots of downtime, but also a ton of great experiences. From creating art with my sister to an enjoyable time helping some friends move, this month so many lovely moments. It also felt like the month totally flew by! I think my word for June 2024 is “affable.”

– Walks –

I’ve been trying to go on more walks, especially with the weather getting nice again. I awlked on my own and racked up almost three miles in a little less than an hour. Then, twice, I went with my friend, Mandi, and we walked, chatted, and sipped on some coffee around a huge park. I’m really trying to improve my stamina and get in some more cardio, so I’m hoping to get some more walks in during July!

– My Sister’s Performance –

My youngest sister twirls baton with the same troop that my other sisters and I were a part of, and they had their annual end-of-the-year show! It’s at a local theater, so it’s even cooler to go to a real stage and be able to get some concessions. My younger sister, Briana brought her boyfriend, and my older sister, Emma, her husband, and daughter came, too! Around halfway during the show, my niece wet through her onesie, but didn’t have a change of clothes, so Emma and I took her to the tiny bathroom, where I changed into a sweater I brought so my niece could wear my t-shirt. There was no changing table, so Emma and I took turns holding my niece as we took off the old outfit and replaced it. It was quite the adventure 😅😅

– Crafting & Painting –

I went over to Emma’s and did quite a few crafty things this month! First, we painted some pottery together; she painted a little fox planter, and I painted my dragon goblet and a flower plate. It was nice weather, so we got to paint right outside on the porch! Next, we went thrifting for some teacups, because Emma had the idea to make candles in them! She had a ton of various dried petals and plants to put in the wax to make the candles extra pretty. You can see the finished products in the gallery below!

– My Own Fun Little Performance –

Last year, my friend, Ben, invited me to be a counselor at a week-long summer camp, and I had a blast, so I’m coming back this year! They have a talent show at some point during the week, so we decided to do something again, but be a little more prepared and rehearsed this time. We began practicing this month and are already in pretty good shape! Now I just have to officially get back on stage…

– Outdoor Worship –

Mandi’s church has an outdoor worship service every year and this year, she invited some friends! It was at a park that I had actually performed baton at a few times when I was younger, so it was a fun little trip down memory lane, too. We sang a few songs I didn’t recognize, but also one of Mandi’s and my favorites, “Even So Come.” Afterward, there was a picnic (the food was amazing!), and I ran into a friend of mine who I met during a previous job! After we ate, I watched as the others teamed up and played cornhole and made a flower crown in the meantime. There was a spontaneous ice cream trip that was planned, so once we left (we were the last people there), we quickly met back up again at an ice cream place! It was a great time, and I even met a few new great people; I imagine that’s what Heaven will be like!
