My Favorite Organization Tips, Tricks, and Products // Wednesday Whatevers

, ,

Hello everyone, I hope you’re having a lovely morning, afternoon, or evening! I’m a very organized person. It’s just in my blood; I can’t not be organized. So, I wanted to share some of my favorite organization methods, products, etc., that help me stay that way. Enjoy!

>> Tips & Tricks <<

Rolling Leggings & Tights

This is exactly how I fold my leggings and also my tights!

Folding Hoodies & Sweatshirts

This tutorial is similar-ish to how I fold my hoodies and sweatshirts. However, this is honestly cooler, so I might start folding just like this now 😂

Fold-Roll Socks

I use the Fold Over method for no-show socks and such. Then, I follow the Roll & Tuck method for ankle socks, crew socks, and any longer pairs I have.

Extra Things Turned Decor

I’ve become a big fan of taking extra things (it helps if they already look “pretty” or “aesthetic”) and turning them into pieces of decor. I received these baskets and really wanted to use them, so I grabbed random knicks and knacks around my room and filled them. One has my Renaissance festival accessories (bottom), and the other (top) has just a bunch of random stuff.

Hanging Headbands (and pretty much anything else)

I bought a bunch of headbands but didn’t have room in or on top of my bureau, so I purchased some command clips and just hung them beside my bureau. This stores them in a neat way where I can see every color, but it also adds some decorative flair to my room.

StorageWorks Wicker Baskets

The original kind that I have aren’t available anymore, so I found the next best substitute! I have two of them and use them both at my desk. I use one to store cards, stickers, and other related papers. The other is kind of my “junk drawer,” where I keep my manicure kit, wallet, pencil pouch, and other random things.

StorageWorks Foldable Storage Bins

I have quite a few of these and even plan to get more. I use three of them under my bureau to store shorts, socks, and undergarments. I use another three in my closet to store random accessories, files and papers, then finally, junk drawer #2. I plan on getting two more sets of three to replace bins I don’t like and organize some more shelves in my closet.

Sorbus Cosmetics Organizer

I have two of these on my bureau. I use one for jewelry, then the other for (mostly) hair accessories. There are two styles from Sorbus; one is as pictured, and the other doesn’t have that additional top piece. I have one of each and actually don’t store makeup in the top piece—that’s where I put pins and styling clips.

Amazon Basics Velvet Hangers

These are amazing. They’re minimalistic and simple, and the velvet is such a lifesaver for strappy tops or wide-necked clothing pieces. I use them to hang pretty much everything in my closet.

Amazon Basics Velvet Hangers with Clips

I love how these exactly match the regular velvet hangers. I use these to hang pants, skirts, and that sort of stuff. Recently, however, I’ve been hanging flowers to dry from them. So, even if you don’t have bottoms to hang, you could use them for crafts!

Simple Houseware 4-Tier Shoe Rack

Again, I couldn’t find the exact product I bought, but this was the closest alternative I found. On one half of my closet, there’s a built-in shoe shelf where I have my heels and boots (fits five pairs exactly), but on the other side, I have this 4-tier rack where I store all my BANGS shoes and other assorted pairs of shoes.

Command Small Wire Hooks

I mainly use these for my hanging headband system. However, around the rest of my room, I’ve used these to hang my lanyard and used another model of command clips to hang hats, frames, and dozens of vines.

Brightroom Mesh Desktop Organizer

I couldn’t find the exact product I use as I bought it around three or four years ago. However, this was the closest alternative and something I could see myself buying. I use it on my desktop to store pencils, pens, paper clips, and other desk supplies.

There you go! I hope you found this post helpful and/or educational. If you have any organization tips or tricks, let me know in the comments below!
Have you used (or currently use) any of these products or tricks before?
Do you tend to be more organized? Or do you thrive in a messier work environment?
I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day or night. Keep on inspiring others and giving yourself some love!
