The “Once Upon A Time” Book Tag

,

Hello everyone, I hope you’re having a lovely morning, afternoon, or evening! I know. You might be wondering, “Woah, Callie, this isn’t a Wednesday Whatevers post or a Monthly Recap. What’s going on?” Well, my friend, this is a book tag, and I just decided to throw this in as a curve ball just for funsies. Enjoy!

psst… I am so late to this… life has been weird… but here we go!

>> The Questions <<

1 || Cinderella: A Book That Changed Your Life

“The Power of Christian Contentment” by Andrew M. Davis

I am still thinking about contentment and how I can master that mindset months after reading this. I also find myself just generally happier about things.

2 || Sleeping Beauty: A Book That Took Forever To Finish

Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson

I read this giant book while I was depressed and not really into reading too much, so it took months. But it was a very good book!

3 || A Thousand and One Nights: A Book That You Couldn’t Stop Reading

The Rithmatist by Brandon Sanderson

I feel like I read this almost every day; it was so creative and inviting!

4 || Snow White: A Book You Recently Read In An Unfamiliar Genre

Orthodoxy by G.K. Chesterton

Now, I have yet to finish this book… it’s a harder read. However, it’s such an interesting, unique, and new read!

5 || The Wild Swans: A Book With Your Favorite Sibling Relationship

The Hardy Boys: Cast of Criminals by Franklin W. Dixon

The Hardy Boys are just great. They play off each other so well, care for each other, and still joke around and have fun!

6 || Snow White: A Book Filled With A Beautiful Prose

I looked up what “prose” meant, did a lot of Googling, and I still don’t know what it means. Maybe I’ve read one before? You tell me…

7 || Rapunzel: A Book That You Procrastinated On Reading After Buying

Walking In Grace by Dalene Reyburn

In my defense, I got this in like, the summer and it’s a 365-day devotional so I had to wait until the new year started.

8 || The Little Mermaid: A Book That Took You On A Magical Journey

Tress of the Emerald Sea by Brandon Sanderson

I’m almost finished with this book but it’s so enchanting! Brandon Sanderson is so good at worldbuilding and it’s evident in this book.

9 || The Princess and The Frog: A Book You’d Like Turned Into A Frog Because You Hated It So Much

The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster

I have no words…

10 || Peter Pan: A Book That Reminds You Of Your Childhood

The Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan

I kept this entire book set in my locker during middle and high school, I loved it so much. When I think of middle school, I think of these books and Narnia.

11 || The Goose Girl: A Book You Had Low Expectations For But Ended Up Loving

I’ll be honest with you… if I have low expectations for a book, I most likely will not read it. It’s probably because I’m not as avid/passionate of a reader as I used to be (or would like to be), but yeah. I can’t think of any for this question.

12 || Hansel and Gretel: A Book That Made You Hungry

The Hardy Boys: The Ghost At Skeleton Rock by Franklin W. Dixon

It mentioned soup once and I almost cried because I wanted soup so bad right at that moment.

You!

I love the option of an open nomination (surely not because I’m also very indecisive… that’s ridiculous) Let me know if you decide to partake in this Book Tag (and tag me so I can see!)

There you go! I hope you found this post entertaining and/or helpful. If you have book recommendations, please leave them in the comments below; I need to get back into reading!
Have you read any of these books?
What’s your favorite book of all time? Can you even choose?
I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day or night. Keep on inspiring others and giving yourself some love!
