Hello everyone, I hope you’re having a lovely morning, afternoon, or evening! February is Black History Month, and I wanted to share with you some profound people in Black History that I learned about. I had never heard about most of these people, so I really wanted to share them.
As a white person, I have never experienced anything like this, but that’s just another reason I’m making this post. As a privileged someone who’s never experienced anything like what these people lived through, I want to make sure that I am aware of how hard they fought for freedom in the past and ensure that I never turn a blind eye to the racism that still persists today. And I want to share it all with others in hopes that they do the same. Now, I’ll be honest with you, I’m terrible at summarizing things. So, I just included a few links to websites where you can learn more about these amazing black historical figures.
With all that being said, if there is any way that you notice I can use my blog/platform to speak out, please let me know!
It is my utmost goal to spread more love and encouragement in this world.
