Health Complications, A Busy Schedule, and A Hopeful Next Month // September 2021

,

Hello everyone, I hope you’re having a lovely morning, afternoon, or evening! September was pretty rough, despite my hopes in my previous monthly recap. I honestly didn’t catch many highlights this month because I had some health complications and a veeerrrryyyyy busy schedule. September was exhausting, honestly, but I do have some high hopes for October.

– Quitting A Job –

Remember how last month I mentioned how I started a new job? Yeah, that didn’t end too well. It turns out that working 47 hours a week, with some days working 10 hours total, is pretty exhausting. I ended up having to quit this new preschool job because it resulted in some mental/physical health problems (see next section for all that fun stuff). I truly enjoyed the job, and the kids were fun, but overall, it was not the best for me to be working so much and trying to balance that job with my current job.

– Overall Health Update –

Buckle your seatbelts; there’s kind of a lot coming up. I went to my annual pediatrics check-up on Tuesday, September 14th. There, I learned that I was vitamin d deficient (learned through a blood test), needed more sleep, needed to eat more, and was just barely at an average weight (I was on the heavier scale, apparently). The main reason for all these was my second job because I was working so much; I didn’t sleep well, ate very sporadically, and didn’t have time to exercise. I began taking vitamin d supplements that Thursday and eating foods rich in vitamin d (eggs, milk, cheese, etc.). However, I started feeling really weak, shaky, fatigued, and overall “off,” and I really noticed that on Tuesday, September 21st or so.
Thursday, the 23rd, I almost fainted on the way to work, and earlier, I had felt the previously mentioned symptoms even after I ate (which is normally supposed to make you feel better). My mom took me to the emergency room, where they took my vitals, drew blood (again), and after waiting for three hours in the waiting room, I learned that my blood work came back completely fine, and the doctor dismissed me quite rudely. My mom called the pediatrician the next day, and I went in to get another blood test on Saturday, the 25th. They were going to test my blood for Lyme disease and mono, and check my thyroid levels. My thyroid levels came back fine, and Lyme was found negative. We are currently waiting on the mono results, but I’m very uncertain about those.
On Tuesday, September 28th, I almost fainted at work (twice) after two hours of feeling slightly dizzy, light-headed, and overall “off.” This was only my second shift after my ER trip, and I was already a bit wary of it. I left early after about two hours of work, and the symptoms have carried on overnight (albeit a bit lessened by now), and I still feel them today, Wednesday, September 29th, which was supposed to be my last day at the preschool. Overall, I’m unsure what is going on with my body right now, but I think it might be migraines; that’s literally the only possibility in my eyes at the moment. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers, and if you have any ideas as to what could be happening, please leave a comment.
