Hello everyone, I hope you’re having a lovely morning/afternoon/evening! Welcome to my first monthly recap! Woohoo! This month overall went pretty well, I’d say. I’m still trying to get into the swing of things and be productive despite my busy work schedule. However, I think I’m getting better at developing a routine and actually following it!
Graduation & Graduation Party
I graduated high school! After nine years of going to the same school, making it through hard times and fun times, I finally graduated. I’m not planning on going to college but will be focusing on publishing my book(s) and expanding my acting career. My graduation party went really well, and I was actually quite exhausted by the end of it. That was back on June 12th, and I think we still have leftovers that we had to freeze. You can read more about my graduation and my party here!
A New ‘Do
I dyed my hair again! The ginger that I originally had for my role of Annie had faded significantly and had become more of a strawberry blonde. Not to mention that my roots were growing in, and it overall just didn’t look too cute. I had always wondered what I would look like with dark brown hair, so I saw this as a great opportunity to try it out! I honestly love it, and I might try to keep up with it!
High School Dance
My school was originally not going to have a high school dance due to COVID, but a few parents teamed up and planned one for us! It was really fun. It took a bit for me to break out of my shell and dance and let loose, but better late than never! I wore pretty much everything I wore to graduation, but my hair was a bit different, and I brought a pair of flats to change into. See, my sisters and I went dress shopping, but I just bought more athletic clothing and spent probably too much money. Also, the dress I bought didn’t end up fitting the vibe for my outfit.
Vocal Lessons
This was super exciting! For the past three years, I had been taking vocal lessons just from my music teacher at school, but a few times, I would miss a lesson, or the schedule would fall apart, and I just wouldn’t even have any at all. However, my mom signed my sisters and me up for training outside our school at a performing arts place. I’ve only taken two lessons so far but have already begun to see/feel so much improvement in my voice! I love to sing but often feel insecure about how my voice sounds, so my ultimate takeaway/goal of these lessons to gain more confidence in my voice.
