Hello everyone, I hope you’re having a lovely morning/afternoon/evening! This week was pretty lowkey. I was tired pretty much every day due to post-musical slumps, but overall it wasn’t terrible! I suppose that’s a good thing.
On Sunday, I was super tired and sluggish when I woke up because of the crazy day on Saturday. In fact, I finally got out of bed only minutes before my sister, Briana, and I left with our mom to go help clean up at the school. That was at noon. I didn’t end up doing much at the school; everything was pretty much done, and I was still exhausted. When I got home, I did some blog work followed by a store-wide meeting at my workplace. The meeting was pretty boring, but afterward, Briana and I walked to Panera and got some food. I tried their caramel latte (10/10) along with my typical drink, the peach and blueberry smoothie. I ate my food at home, wasted a lot of time, and then spent the rest of the evening editing a video. The video took about five to six hours in total to edit, and I only later realized that somewhere along the line, I cut something which shifted all the effects/texts in the video. So… the video is up on my YouTube channel, but please ignore the out-of-sync subtitles…
I woke up really late on Monday… probably because I had stayed up until about 1:30 am on Sunday editing… oopsie. I ended up missing the bus and had to be driven to school. I worked on my WIP throughout the day and realized that sometimes I want to do anything EXCEPT for write. That’s fun. I did some creative work here and there and listened to some music, but then my computer died, and I wasn’t sitting close to any outlets :(. When I got home, I got a lot done and felt very productive. Fun fact: I started working out again since the musical ended! That night, I watched the first episode of a new show, Shadow and Bone, with my sisters. It was pretty good!
I didn’t do much on Tuesday. I worked a bit on my WIP but was overall feeling in the slumps, facing a bit of writer’s block. I did some creative work instead. When I got home, I was very productive again! I put away some laundry that had been sitting in my room forever, and I painted my nails for the first time in forever! They’re gold and pink, if anyone’s wondering.
On Wednesday, I did some creative work which included beginning work on a cottagecore/nature-y photo wall! I’m not sure where I’ll display it in my room yet, but it has me very excited. That afternoon at school, my homeroom class filmed a mother’s day video, but only after we came back inside, my teacher realized that she accidentally filmed it in slow-motion. We were planning on re-filming it later that afternoon, but I remembered that I was leaving early that day. Pity. I had an early dismissal, along with Briana, because we had an orthodontist appointment! I had my lower wire tightened, and they put a bracket on a top tooth of mine that now had room to move, thanks to the expander. My teeth were sore for the rest of the day 😦 That night, my sisters and I watched more of Shadow and Bone, and I am really loving that show. To anyone who may watch it, too: Kaz. Brilliant. We love him.
On Thursday, I worked more on an idea for a potential musical idea I had. I even wrote a song! Now, I can’t create tunes or anything, but at least the words are there. I did some blog work at school as well. The entire day, it was really rainy and yucky outside, so that wasn’t very fun. I had work that night, but it was super boring and dreary. However, it got a lot better during the last half hour of my shift. It’s better than being miserable the entire time, right?
As soon as I got on the bus on Friday, I realized I left my gym clothes at home. Luckily for me, we didn’t even end up having gym class that day. Instead, the school watched the video of our spring musical, all in their own respective classrooms, of course. It was definitely odd watching myself, and I must admit that I cringed a few times or noticed something I could have done better. During the last five minutes or so, I had to leave to go to my physical therapy appointment for my shoulder. I only have about a month or so left, which is really exciting! When I got home, I bought a camera and some equipment. I’ll be mainly using it for my YouTube channel (Callie Elizabeth, if you know what I mean) as well as some amateur photography and capturing fun memories. That night, my whole family sat down together to watch Act I of the musical. We ended really late, and I was suuuuper tired, so I pretty much fell asleep immediately.
On Saturday, I stayed in bed until around 1:00, a.k.a. only an hour before I had to get ready and leave for work. I spent that entire time eating lunch with my younger siblings. My shift that day was the longest shift since even before my surgery, but to my surprise, it was really enjoyable. I was working beside one of my friends nearly the entire time, and at one point, we began looking at the books/toys from the kids’ meal bags. They were animal-themed and had a page in the front where you could draw about that certain animal. Let’s just say I almost cried, laughing at my terrible drawings. When I got home that night, I ate a bit, then immediately went to bed. I was tired.
That concludes my week! I hope you all had lovely weeks as well; feel free to share some highlights of your week in the comments below! I hope we all have wonderful weeks ahead of us and that we find something magical in each day. As always, keep on inspiring folks and loving yourself!
What lies behind you and what lies in front of you, pales in comparison to what lies inside of you.
