Weekly Recap 4.11.21 – 4.17.21

,

Hello everyone, I hope you’re having a lovely morning/afternoon/evening! This week was super fast-paced, and I felt like I never sat down to breathe. Whew! However, I truly enjoyed some of the craziness and hope to breathe a bit more next week.

On Sunday, I slept in and overall felt pretty slumpy about the day. I tried filming a video for an award show finale I was a part of, but it didn’t really work out, and I was unsatisfied. That little fail really put a damper on my day, but I was still productive anyway! I did a lot of creative/blog work along with some online browsing and planning. I cleaned out my closet (the best I could without getting rid of school dress code clothing) and went on a mini-organization spree. I was feeling really tired at one point and made a coffee milkshake… I felt super hyped up and jittery afterward.

On Monday, I had school and did my homework right after it was assigned, so I felt very proud of myself. Throughout the day, I worked on my WIP. Since that was the first day I came to school with my hair blonde, I got many compliments and surprised reactions that really made my day. I was told I looked like numerous characters such as Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter, Elsa from Frozen, and even my school’s principal. That afternoon, I had musical rehearsal, and it was our first rehearsal with the stage crew! When I got home, I did a lot of creative work before finally going to bed.

On Tuesday, my math class reviewed the previous chapter of the book, but everything went right over my head. Good news: I ended up only losing one point on the test, so I didn’t do too terribly. I held a student council meeting during lunch which, I’d say, went pretty well, and we’re on a good track. Woohoo! My homeroom class filmed a video around our classroom talking about a country we had been studying. We had learned about New Zealand and even recreated a little hobbit-hole in front of a large closet. I talked about it, shared some facts about Hobbiton, and was even able to film my part in one take!

On Wednesday, my homeroom celebrated our wonderful video success with some ice cream during lunch! I worked on my WIP throughout the day and did some creative work. I created these daily/weekly/monthly planner sheets, and I might have to create a blog post highlighting them and making them available for you to download… keep your eyes peeled, folks. I was cold the entire day, even in musical rehearsal, but I left that early to go get my hair-colored ginger! I LOVED it! I was really happy with how the color turned out and felt super excited because the show nights of our musical were slowly getting closer! When I got home, my mom showed me how to file taxes, and I even got a tax return! Woohoo! (free-ish money!)

Thursday was pretty chill. My first-period class was a study hall because my teacher had some other work to do, and during my second period, we took a test, and the rest of the period was a study hall. I began working on a future project (no spoilers) and felt pretty good about how it was turning out! During my last period, I participated in a little fundraiser for my school’s musical, where I snipped a bit of my co-star’s hair. It was a little odd for me, but I got some chocolate, so it’s okay. That afternoon, we had our first dress rehearsal for our musical! It was a little stressful, but it was the first time, so that’s expected.

On Friday, I had a nice little study hall, but later in the day, I couldn’t do gym class because my teacher didn’t want me hurting my arm during the game we were playing. Why we couldn’t just play another game is unknown to me, but whatever, I got some good thinking time during that period. We had another fundraiser for our musical that afternoon where the cast did a meet ‘n greet with the younger kids in the school. During musical rehearsal that afternoon, I realized that I have TWO fast changes, so I’m not exactly looking forward to that, but oh well. When I got home, I tried to film the video for the award show again, and I succeeded! Yeah, my voice probably sounded so bad, but at least I did it, y’know?

Saturday was pretty bland. I had work in the morning, but I did the same job for about four hours and was freezing my bum off outside. I talked to some friends every now and then, but it was pretty boring overall. After work, I ate my food which brightened my spirits a bit and began preparing myself for musical tech week, which was coming up fast. Eek!

That concludes my week! I hope you all had wonderful weeks as well; feel free to share some highlights down below in the comments! I pray we all have lovely weeks ahead of us and that we find something magical in every day. As always, keep on inspiring folks and loving yourself!
