Hello everyone, I hope you’re having a lovely morning/afternoon/evening! This week I felt pretty busy and tired, but there were also many highlights and fun moments. It was my first week back at school after Spring Break and virtual week, and I’d say it went pretty well!
On Sunday, I missed morning church again because I woke up super late. While at home, I chilled and did some blog and YouTube work. That evening, I was part of a mission trip presentation about the trip I went on with my church a few months ago (you can read all about it in this post!) We were late to our meeting beforehand because I took a shower and lost track of time, but it’s okay! We made it! My friend and I had both volunteered to speak in front of the congregation, and we were both super nervous about it. However, everything went well; we killed it! When I got home, I had some sweet potato pie that I helped my mom make a while ago. Since it was a school night, I wanted to go to bed early, but my sisters and I stayed up until midnight watching Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir (we’re all caught up!) and beginning the Disney movie We Can Be Heroes. We only watched the first ten or fifteen minutes, but it was a pretty interesting movie so far. I ended up falling asleep around 2:30 am that night because I was watching TikTok, but I came up with a neat quote; “Hope will always be there. Whether you think about it or not, it will be there.” Feel free to substitute the word ‘hope’ with ‘God.’ God will always be there with us, whether we remember him or think about him or not.
Monday was my first in-school day since Spring Break and virtual week. I had many study halls where I worked on one of my WIPs, and I also began reading again! I had a yearbook club meeting during my last period where we had pizza, but I had to cut it up into tiny pieces due to my braces. After school, we had musical rehearsal, which was pretty fun. One of my friends and I fooled around a lot, and I had a pretty bad voice crack at one point… that was embarrassing. When I got home, I had the urge to begin playing Minecraft again, and I edited some Minecraft skins for myself. I got my lunch prepped and ready for Tuesday and almost finished We Can Be Heroes with my sisters. We had about five or ten minutes left, but the movie was overall pretty cute. There were some cheesy parts, and honestly, some of the kids acted better than the adults did, but there were also some pretty funny and enjoyable parts.
I didn’t have any class during my first period on Tuesday. We just answered some questions in like, five minutes, then talked/reminisced for the rest of the time. During my fifth period (an hour and a half long), we watched half of Waiting for Godot. I was pretty happy at first because I had pancakes and a cozy chair, but toward the end, I didn’t have any food, and the movie was causing me to have a few existential crises. After school, I had musical rehearsal where we ran a few parts of the show! Woohoo! Back home, my sister, Briana, made us some scrambled eggs, which were delicious. I did a lot of blog work throughout the day and got a good bit of my To-Do list completed.
Wednesday was a pretty exciting day. I began working on a few children’s books based on my family. I suppose I should add that to my My Works page… Anyway, my homeroom class went outside for lunch today, and I read more of my book! I left during the afternoon to go to my physical therapy appointment, where I learned that this week is my last week with my sling!! Yay! The appointment ended earlier than I thought, and my mom took me back to school for the last fifteen minutes or so of the day. I had more musical rehearsal after school, where I learned that I’ll be sending in a nomination submission for Best Leading Actress in the Gene Kelly Awards!! WOOHOO! Now, I’m trying not to get my hopes up, but I’m still SUPER excited about this opportunity. After rehearsal, Briana and I fooled around with a doll in the school parking lot and probably lost a ton of brain cells doing so. When I went home, I sang a few songs for my parents and made some mashed potatoes (lunch prep). I played Minecraft for a bit and made some headway on my cute little house.
Thursday was rainy and icky. During my third-period class, I styled my hair in a style I’ve been loving recently, but I missed a big chunk of my hair which was annoying. At one point, by my locker, I dropped a ring, and while looking for it, one of my friends kept recruiting people to help me find it. There ended up being around five people lying/crawling on the floor looking for my ring under lockers and such. One of my teachers came out in the hallway to see what was happening and found my ring within ten seconds… During musical rehearsal, we did a few scenes for only the first or second time, which was pretty fun, but it also told me that I needed to work on some lines. That evening, I went back to the school for a high school preview night. There were only three other high schoolers and I, and we did virtually nothing. However, since we were there and helped, my teacher said he’d give us klondike bars on Friday (the next day). I ate the last of our mini pancakes when I got home, and Briana made us more scrambled eggs. Well, Briana made my eggs, and I made her eggs. We finished watching one of my favorite movies, Enola Holmes, that night, which I believe we began watching on Wednesday or so.
I did almost nothing on Friday. I had barely any classes, and I just did some yearbook work and worked on my WIP. We had musical rehearsal after school, where I also didn’t do much. However, I got my promised klondike during lunch, which was definitely a highlight of my day (or perhaps even my week). I didn’t do anything at home either; I just watched YouTube forever.
On Saturday, I woke up at around noon after two consecutive bad dreams… how fun. I didn’t do much except watch TikToks, work on a potential song, and do some blog work. However, I did bake some blueberry muffins, and I tried Chick-Fil-A’s chicken tortilla soup. The soup was really spicy and sort of upset my stomach, but it was really good! In the afternoon, right before dinner, I watched a live stream for the first time. It was a cooking stream from a streamer, GeorgeNotFound, and I really enjoyed it, so I might have to start watching more when they happen. After dinner, Briana and I had some cookies and a blueberry muffin, then, along with my other sister, Emma, we watched The BFG for the first time. We only got through the first twenty minutes or so because I was super tired, but it’s a neat movie so far.
This concludes my week! I hope you all have some lovely weeks as well and feel free to comment and share any highlights from your past week! I hope we all have wonderful weeks ahead of us and that you find something magical every day. Keep on inspiring folks and loving yourself!
