Hello everyone, I hope you’re having a lovely morning/afternoon/evening! This past week was week two of my recovery, and I actually left the house! Yay me! I was pretty productive this week but felt a few slumps of misery or laziness, but I got through it!
On Sunday, I missed church that morning, but I finally began reading a devotional book that I had gotten a while ago. I started on the perfect passage for Valentine’s Day. Later, my younger sister, Briana, helped me wash my hair, and it was utter chaos. Anytime we interact, we just lose all our brain cells and act dumb. In the evening, I watched (and finished) Hannah Montana while eating strawberry oatmeal (and later Lucky Charms). My sisters and I watched about half of Barbie Swan Lake that night, continuing our goal to rewatch all our Barbie movies.

There was no school on Monday because it was Presidents’ Day, and I happened to very productive that day. Due to the neat-freak in me, anytime I organize/clean anything, I suddenly have to organize/clean everything else I see. I did some light cleaning the girls’ bathroom, which I was pretty proud of. Then, I rewarded myself by getting into another Disney Channel show, Lab Rats. I’m not sure how, but on Monday, I was inspired by something and began working on an interesting but challenging new story idea. I haven’t worked everything out yet, but I will share more details soon! Later that night, my sisters and I finished Barbie Swan Lake.

Tuesday was supposed to be my first day back at in-person school, but we were virtual due to the snow. I was finally able to wear the dress code, however. I can only wear button-downs because of my shoulder, but it’s something! Math class that day (usually an hour and a half long) ended a whole hour early! (woohoo!) With that extra time I had, I did some creative/blog work. Right before my last class, my new speaker arrived. Just as I joined the class, itching to open my package already, my teacher said I didn’t need to be there that day. (woohoo!) I eagerly set-up my speaker, and I LOVE IT. Here’s my quick review: JBL speakers have wonderful sound quality that I will never get over, and the design of this speaker is genius. When something is playing music/noise loudly, it vibrates, okay? With this speaker (JBL Flip 4), they have special thingies on the side that vibrate, so the speaker itself doesn’t vibrate and ‘move’ due to the bass. Pretty cool if you ask me. Later, I showered one-handed because I was not about to repeat Sunday’s chaos: my sister washing my hair for me. I finished the day by watching some more Lab Rats, and I edited a fun little video from a while ago.

The snow was beautiful outside // My new speaker! It’s about the side of a good, long burrito
On Wednesday, I went back to school! During an hour and a half long study hall, I spoke to a friend in the bathroom for like, ten minutes about my arm. It’s a ‘fun’ thing to get used to. After school, I had musical rehearsal where I learned/reviewed an entire song, which was super fun. I missed musical rehearsals and learning choreography… That evening, I went to my church, where our youth group hosted a drive-in movie night. We watched The Princess Bride (one of the best movies ever), and we had Chick-Fil-A! Due to not working, I had been going through an odd, Chick-Fil-A withdrawal where I craved the food. That movie night helped tide it over. When I got back home, I did some more creative/blog work and ended the day with watching Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted with my sisters. (Definitely recommend it!)
I woke up on Thursday in pain and realized that my left arm was halfway out of the sling. What a great start to the day. We had a two-hour delay at school due to more snow, and I had barely any study halls. During a little time freedom, however, I checked my grades and audibly gasped. I have straight-A’s! Talk about the first time for everything! Anyway, when I arrived home that day, I was super pumped because my new backpack was finally delivered! I absolutely love it. After I had gotten over the excitement of my new accessory, I began planning/prepping my YouTube channel so it can be up and running again. It made me really itch to start filming again, but I had neither a camera nor two working arms to style hair… bummer. For the rest of the evening, I was super productive. I laid out my clothes for the next day, I completed my To-Do List, I was buzzing with motivation until I fell asleep.
I missed school Friday… all the preparation for nothing. How fun. I had woken up at 2 am the previous night, and in the morning, I couldn’t seem to get myself out of bed. By the time I did pull myself up, it was too late for me to get dressed and ready with only one arm. I did virtual schooling that day, but I only had one class, so I continued YouTube prep and more creative work. I watched more Lab Rats and began watching LDShadowlady again. She was one of the first YouTubers I ever subscribed to and followed. I’ve been subscribed to her since she had around 800,000 subscribers, and now she has 5 million. I guess I’m a little proud… In the evening, I cut my sister’s hair (it turned out nice, don’t worry), and my sisters and I watched most of Barbie Rapunzel and ate ice cream.
I expected Saturday to be really dull, and I did a lot of slumping and losing motivation. I got out of bed at noon and was determined to get stuff done, but that didn’t really happen. I spent way too long organizing all my YouTube playlists (why? I honestly can’t say), and I didn’t actually start my To-Do list until four in the afternoon, but I completed it by the end of the day! I have my lines for act 1 of our musical memorized, and I got the ‘OK’ to send my WIP’s manuscript to an editor (woohoo!) That night, my family and I watched about half of the live-action Sonic movie. It’s pretty good so far; definitely funnier than I expected it to be.
That was my week! I hope you all had a lovely week as well and are looking forward to this coming week. As always, keep on inspiring folks and loving yourself!
